Norwegian American Historical Association - A private membership organization dedicated to locating, collecting preserving and interpreting the Norwegian-American experience.
Friends of Norway Caucus Congressional Caucus promoting Norwegian-American relations, founded by Norwegian-American congressmen
Sons of Norway An organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Norwegian heritage and culture, especially in America
Norwegian American Hall of Fame- Information on famous Americans, living and dead, who are readily associated with their Norwegian ancestry
Daughters Of Norway-An organization dedicated to preserving Norwegian heritage
Sons of Norway Vennekretsen An organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Norwegian heritage and culture in Atlanta, Georgia
Societies, Libraries
Large collections of Norwegian and Norwegian-American records which include books, membership rolls and other publications of "'Bygdelags" (an organization whose membership is comprised of Norwegian-American descendants from a specific Norwegian geographical areal); biographies, family histories, genealogies, histories of settlements (borth in America and Norway), Norwegian-American newspapers and other valuable records are at:
- The Minnesota State Historical Society
- Wisconsin State Historical Society
- The University of Wisconsin Memorial Library (Largest collection of Norwegian local history published in Norway. Items available through inter-library loan.
- Preuss Library, Luther College
- Rølvaag Memorial Library, St. Olaf College
Also housed in this building is the Norwegian-American Historical Association which holds an extensive collection of about 112,000 obituaries on index cards of Norwegian-Americans between about 1910-1960 plus a number of other resources.
