Lord Howe Island
Lord Howe Island forms part of the State of New South Wales, Australia. It is a small island in the Tasman Sea 600 kilometres (370 mi) east of the Australian mainland. It has a small permanent population some of whom are descended from the earliest nineteenth-century settlers. It is administered from Sydney by the Lord Howe Island Board. It forms part of the federal electorate of Sydney and the state electorate of Port Macquarie.
