History
When the lands under the Minidoka Reclamation Project were first bought into the market, a number of settlers, seeking homes, were the first settlers in Kimberley. As the settlers increased in number town site was surveyed in 1905 and the town lots placed on the market for sale on Aug 8, 1905.The town is situated on the Minidoka-buhl branch of the Oregon Short Line railroad, three miles south of Snake River, six miles east of Twin Falls and 32 miles west of Burley. It is the center of a fine irrigation district under the Twin Falls Irrigation Project, and has an excellent site for a beet sugar factory, Flour mill.
The total population of the Kimberley Precinct was 1,948 was 1930.
