Hours: Monday - Wednesday and Friday 9 am - 4:45 pm
Thursday 9 am - 7 pm
July and August 8:30 am - 3:45 pm Monday - Friday
The Jefferson County Clerk's office has land and court records. However, it does not have birth, marriage and death records as these are held at the City, Town or Village where the event occurred. There is one exception in that for a very short period, counties were required to keep marriage records, so Jefferson County has a selection of marriage certificates for the year 1908 - 1935.
