Genealogical societies also post news and events on their newsletters and Websites. Try these methods to locate societies:
- Search Google for [place name -- such as a state or county] genealogical society.
- Use the Place Search of the Family History Library Catalog to get a listing of topics for a place, then select Societies.
- Visit the U.S. GenWeb page for the state or county in question.
