Parish History

Eagle Woodhouse, an extra-parochial, Parts of Kesteven.  Eagle Woodhouse became a civil parish in 1858.  It was abolished civilly in 1886, when it became part of the the ancient parish of Eagle.[1]

"EAGLE-WOODHOUSE, an extra-parochial liberty, in the Lower division of the wapentake of BoothbyGraffo, parts of Kesteven, union and county of Lincoln; containing 9 inhabitants. It comprises 100 acres, the soil of which is chiefly a strong clay."[2]

  • The Genealogist.co.uk ($) has all available censuses and is free at Family History Centers and the Family History Library and various other libraries.
  • FreeCen is a UK census searches. It is not complete and individuals are always asked to consider helping out with transcriptions.
