Jurisdiction
Probate records of the Court of the Deanery of the Arches of London, Croydon, Shoreham (Peculiar of the Archbishop of Canterbury) held jurisdiction over an extensive region of Middlesex, London, Surrey, and Kent (some in and outside of what is considered Greater London). Most testators in this jurisdiction filed their wills with the Prerogative Court of Canterbury between 1750 to 1858.[1] The following 13 parishes lay within the City of London.
