Church History
The former Anglican Church of St John the Evangelist, St John's Street Chichester was built in 1812 as a proprietary chapel, it was a preaching house and not a parish church and was funded by pew rental. Chichester St John the Evangelist Wikipedia Since its closure and redundancy from the Diocese of Chichester in 1973 it has been in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust and has been used as a speaking and performance space during the annual Chichester Festival Churches Conservation Trust
The Former Church of St John the Evangelist has been designated as a grade I listed building British listed building
