Charlotte County, VermontEdit This Page

In 1772 New York State erected Charlotte County in the northeast from part of Albany County. Part of Charlotte County was on land that would eventually become the State of Vermont. In 1777 Vermont called the Charlotte County land ceded from New York by the name Bennington County, Vermont.
