Known Issues
Question: When I used to view the Caribbean records in IGI (International Genealogical Index), the parish information was available (i.e., Saint Philip, Barbados, Caribbean). Now the event place name is only indexed as Barbados. Where can the parish information be found?
Answer: The event place information in the indexed records is currently incomplete. Until the collections for the Caribbean are updated to include the additional event place information (i.e., a specific parish), you can order the film number associated with the record to view the parish information. Click on the links for information on how to order microfilm and locate the nearest FamilySearch Center.
