 GROUP VISITS

Tours, organizations, and other groups are welcome to visit the library. Limited staff, classrooms, and floor space require us to coordinate group visits in advance. We recommend the following for each group.
  1. Notify the Family History Library of the group visit, preferably at least one week in advance, and for genealogical societies at least three months in advance at the minimum. Please complete our Visiting Group Registration Form. State the dates you will be at the library, the size of the group, and the geographical area of interest, or other specific requests. We can provide group orientations, if requested, but because of the seating capacity we can accommodate no more than 60 individuals. You may request a meeting room at the Family History Library for non-profit and family organizations, based on availability. For phone reservation call 801-240-4673.
  2. Group leaders should ensure that all people in their group (including youth) are prepared to use the library effectively before they arrive. See Preparing to Visit the Library.
  3. Make sure to plan your visit when the library is open. Check Hours and Holidays to find out when the library will be closed.
  4. Look at our class schedule for classes being offered. All classes are arranged in advance. They are free of charge and open to the public.
